Do you like to listen to music? I believe there’s just a small group of people who don’t. Music lovers can be seen all around the world – with headphones on, listening to the latest bops. And while there’s a gigantic music platform called YouTube, there are also others where you can stream your favorite music and support your favorite artists.
But let me talk about YouTube first
YouTube is the largest network, where everyone having a channel can upload videos – music videos, vlog videos, tutorials, actually any kind of videos. Musicians from all over the world create official accounts to promote their music and gain fans and followers. And it’s impressive to be able to watch the video of your favorite songs, but for people who prefer just to listen, there are those other options to choose from.
The one to recommend the most is Spotify
This is a platform launched back in 2008 by Daniel Ek and it’s one of the largest legal music providers in the world. There are 3 ways to use it – to download the mobile app on your phone, to install the desktop app on your computer, or to use the browser version. All you need to do is just create your profile. The pros of using Spotify are a lot – the artist is paid royalties thanks to you and most of all, you can use the platform for free. Payment is not required, but you’ll listen to some more ads. The premium version with no ads, unlimited skips and more, is not expensive at all and often there’s the deal – 3 months for just $1.
If you’re a fan of the Big Apple you can use Apple Music to stream your music
The difference here is that you can listen not only to the audio files, but you can watch videos as well. It has millions of tracks that you can choose from without the need to store files in your device.
Another platform to consider is iTunes
It’s different from Apple Music as it’s not a streaming platform, but media player, media library, Internet radio broadcaster, and mobile device management application – all this in one. You can manage all your music there, the difference is that to access a file, you need to buy it first. Usually, albums and songs are not that expensive – a dollar for a song. iTunes is also one of the largest music platforms in the world as it is the only place you can use to store music on your Apple device.
For Android lovers, there’s also Google Play - Music
It works almost the same as Apple Music and you can buy and download music to stream. As all of these platforms are here and ready for you to use, the need to download illegal music is no longer in the conversation.
